According to the processing capacity, common leveling machines can be roughly divided into three categories: medium plate leveling, thin plate large leveling and precision small leveling, which can basically meet all kinds of processing requirements.

Medium plate opener is a special equipment for processing hot-rolled coil. The general processing capacity is 3mm to 14mm thick. The medium plate opener can only open the hot-rolled coil with the maximum width of 1500mm. With the introduction of wide hot-rolled coil, the hot-rolled opener on each processing center can generally open the hot-rolled coil with the width of 2000mm. Some hot rolling openers also have edge cutting function.

The large sheet opener can generally process cold rolled coils with a thickness of 0.3mm ~ 3.0mm. In the early days, the sheet opener can only process the cold-rolled coil with the maximum width of 1300mm. However, with the wide application of 1500mm cold-rolled coil, the 1500mm width opener soon occupied the market. The processing capacity of cold rolling leveler is mainly reflected in leveling, surface protection, stamping and so on.

Precision small flattening generally refers to the flattening machine for processing cold rolled coils with a maximum width of less than 800mm, and the processing thickness is 0.3 ~ 3.0mm. Like the large start-up of thin plate, it mainly processes cold-rolled coils with high requirements, especially for surface protection. Its products are generally fixed open thin plates, which are widely used in stamping, precision cutting and so on.
